The Texas Rangers relieved Jon Daniels of his duties as the team’s president of baseball operations on Wednesday.
Daniels, who will turn 45 next Wednesday, joined the Rangers’ baseball operations department in 2002. He was named as the team’s eighth general manager on Oct. 4, 2005 and promoted to president of baseball operations in March 2013.
