The Supreme Court voted 5-4 connected June 8 to onslaught down Alabama’s electoral representation for legislature elections, ruling that it was racially discriminatory.
The tribunal narrowly recovered that the representation drafted by Alabama Republicans violated the provisions of the federal Voting Rights Act (VRA) which requires that states not racially gerrymander districts.
