For the 17th time, U.S. Army paratroopers joined Indian army soldiers for Exercise Yudh Abhyas — this year at Joint Base Elemendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

The troops spent a day conducting joint rappel training as part of their overall focus on refining their mountaineering skills.

Yudh Abhyas is an annual exercise aimed at improving the interoperability of the U.S. and Indian armies to increase capacity for conventional, complex and future contingencies throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
