An honored tradition.

Soldiers assigned to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, known as "The Old Guard," and other service members placed American flags at headstones in Arlington National Cemetery, Va., in advance of Memorial Day.

This was the 75th anniversary of "Flags In," during which service members adorn gravesites at Arlington National Cemetery and the U.S. Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery to honor the nation's fallen heroes.
